Aline & Hanut’s wedding was more than just a union; it was a visual love letter between two worlds — Indian spice and Chinese serenity. A symphony of cultures, emotions, and serendipity.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sri Panwa, Phuket, this three-day Indian-Chinese celebration blended heritage with contemporary elegance from February 07 – 09, 2025. The couple sought a wedding photography team that could seamlessly weave editorial finesse with raw emotion, capturing the vibrancy of their love story in an authentic, artistic, and deeply cultural manner.
Their destination celebration unfolded like an editorial spread where Bao met Biryani, but the heart remained purely theirs. As wedding storytellers, our mission was to weave vibrant rituals, cross-cultural moments, and intimate emotions into personal cinematic frames.
With a journey that began in a 7-Eleven in Hong Kong and led to a heartfelt wedding by the sea, we focused on documenting the collision of two worlds—Indian traditions infused with Chinese heritage.
Every moment, from the intimate tea ceremony to the golden-hour vows and the high-energy after-party, was framed with an editorial yet timeless aesthetic.
The couple’s three-day celebration (February 7–9, 2025) featured a vibrant welcome party, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, an emotional Western-style wedding by the sea, and a grand, high-energy after-party. Every event carried a distinct vibe, requiring a versatile approach to photography that balanced fun, intimacy, and elegance. They wanted their story told authentically, beyond poses and Pinterest boards, with someone who could see them.
We approached this wedding with a storytelling-first philosophy, focusing on the natural chemistry between Aline & Hanut, their cultural backgrounds, and the poetic serendipity of their love story. “East Meets East” editorial — rich in color, bold in detail, but grounded in the couple’s playful, heartfelt chemistry.
“Bao Meets Biryani”—a concept symbolizing their cross-cultural love language. A vibrant fusion of Indian-Chinese aesthetics with games, tea ceremonies, and wild laughter.
Vogue-meets-Vanity Fair elegance, with a raw, emotional core. Glamour meets chaos, high-energy frames filled with movement and emotion.
Capturing a three-day cross-cultural wedding on foreign soil required more than lenses — it required intuition. We approached the wedding as a seamless visual narrative, ensuring that each cultural element was captured with depth, emotion, and artistic clarity.
Day 1: Welcome Party

Day 2: Chinese Tea Ceremony & Pre-Wedding Festivities
- Capturing ancestral traditions, the intricate tea-serving moments, and the quiet pride in the elders’ eyes
- Hanut’s emotional reaction as he saw Aline dressed in traditional Chinese attire
Day 3: Western-Style Wedding by the Sea
- Golden-hour vows, framing Aline & Hanut with the breathtaking sunset
- Editorial portraits capturing raw love, deep laughter, and intimate gestures
- The high-energy after-party, shot with movement and cinematic light to preserve its electric atmosphere
The chakra-inspired creative direction required waiting for perfect natural light conditions, particularly capturing the sun aligning on Aline’s forehead. The chakra concept; We intentionally positioned Aline during sunset so that the reflection of the sun became her crown, symbolizing the universe blessing her union. This required meticulous timing and perfect alignment of natural elements, but the payoff was magical.
By blending photojournalism with fine-art storytelling, we ensured that every emotion, tradition, and fleeting moment was preserved in its purest, most powerful form.
The result was an emotive, visually stunning wedding archive that seamlessly merged cultures, traditions, and love. Every image felt like a freeze-frame from a love story meant to be told across generations. The result was a wedding album that felt like a Vogue feature — but every frame was infused with genuine moments and soulful connections.
